This policy explains what AssignPDF handles when you use the site. The conversion workflow runs in your browser, while the contact form is intended for messages you choose to send.
1. No Personal Data Collection
AssignPDF does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not collect your name, contact details, payment information, or student credentials at any point.
2. Your Files Stay on Your Device
Image processing, crop adjustments, and PDF generation happen within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and client-side JavaScript. The assignment images and generated PDF are not uploaded by the conversion workflow.
Once you close or refresh the browser tab, all in-memory data is discarded automatically.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
AssignPDF uses localStorage to remember your preferred color theme and the optional Quick PDF setting. No tracking cookies or advertising cookies are set by the app.
4. Analytics & Third-Party Services
We may use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics (such as page-view counts) to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the tool. This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to any individual user.
We use Google Fonts for typography. Fonts are loaded via Google's CDN, which may log your IP address per Google's own privacy policy. No other third-party scripts, trackers, or ad networks are embedded on this site.
5. Children's Privacy
AssignPDF does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. The service is designed for college and university students. If you believe a child has inadvertently provided personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
6. Security
Because we never receive your files or personal data, there is no server-side database that could be breached. All processing is confined to your device's memory for the duration of your browser session. We serve the site over HTTPS to protect data in transit.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of AssignPDF after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
